It was a productive and energising week at Building Bridges, where critical conversations took place at the intersection of finance, climate, and development.
Together with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the Paulson Institute, we co-hosted a session titled “Public Private Partnerships for Investing in Nature as Infrastructure”. The session was an exploration of how natural systems can be recognised, valued, and financed as core infrastructure assets. This session brought together high-level insights and grounded examples to shape a strategic but practical conversation. And followed the release of the Paulson Institute’s Update to the Landmark Financing Nature Report, as well as providing an early view of a new AIIB report on financing nature as infrastructure expected to be released in November 2025.
We are especially grateful to our panelists: Simon Zadek, Erik Berglof, Deborah Lehr, Marcelo Furtado, Tony Goldner, and Dr. Sonja Stuchtey, who shared their deep expertise and engaged with pressing questions around system change, financial innovation, and implementation pathways.
